José Julián Javela, Marly Johana Bahamón, Diego Rivera, and Rodrigo E. González-Reyes analyzed the psychometric properties of Buss and Perry’s Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) in Colombian adolescents, a widely used tool for measuring aggressive behavior. The sample included 779 teenagers from Barranquilla and Pereira, Colombia. The results revealed that the second-order factor model showed a good fit, and reliability indices were acceptable. This suggests that the AQ is applicable to Colombian teenagers, although certain limitations are noted in its use for the non-aggression subscale. This study provides valuable insight into the applicability of the AQ in Colombian adolescents and underscores the importance of considering its dimensions and limitations.
