Researchers Karla Areli Medina-Tepal, Rosalia Vázquez-Arévalo, Nazira Calleja-Bello, and Juan Manuel Mancilla-Díaz have developed a new questionnaire to detect symptoms and behaviors of pica and rumination disorders in adolescents and young adults. The items were developed from a review of the literature and submitted for review by experts in the field. The study has confirmed its reliability in the Mexican population. This tool can be useful for the early detection of the symptoms of these disorders, which facilitates an adequate and timely treatment according to the characteristics of the case.
