In a systematic review published in the Journal of Clinical Psychology with Children and Adolescents, psychoeducational programs for the prevention and promotion of mental health in adolescents within the school environment have been examined.
Methodology:
* Search in Web of Science, Scopus and PsycInfo.
* Initial identification of 105 articles, selecting 11 that met criteria.
* Analysis of interventions in terms of effectiveness.
Results:
* Most psychoeducational interventions are effective in:
* Promote mental health knowledge.
* Reduce stigma.
* Facilitate the acquisition of strategies and skills in adolescents.
Conclusion: This review highlights the effectiveness of psychoeducational programs in school settings to strengthen mental health, improve understanding, and reduce stigma among adolescents.
