Research led by Lydia Muñoz-Manzano and Antonio Fernández-Parra has shed light on the relationship between attention problems and disruptive behavior in children, and their difficulties in generating rules. Using the Door Opening Task (TAP), the study found that children with these problems face significant challenges in following basic instructions, but show no differences in following clear rules. These findings highlight the importance of understanding underlying difficulties to inform more effective educational strategies.
