A study by the University of Santiago de Compostela has revealed that almost 30% of Spanish adolescents suffer bullying at school. This phenomenon has serious repercussions on mental health and academic performance. Bullying is related to mental health problems such as depression and anxiety, as well as difficulties in attention and anger control. In addition, those affected are twice as likely to fail academically. These findings highlight the urgency of effective anti-bullying prevention and intervention programs.
