The New York Times has published an article on the study that researchers from the AITANA group have carried out on the emotional impact of confinement on Spanish children and adolescents. The results of the study report a high percentage of children showing emotional and behavioural symptoms compared to before confinement. Screen use and sedentariness have also increased considerably since confinement in Spanish homes began. The study is relevant since it offers the first data on the effects of quarantine on the child and youth population, since until now information was only available with participants from China, and mainly adults.
