He continues his pre-doctoral training with research stays at the City University of New York, Montclair State University and Stony Brook University. He joined the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche in 2002 after a period of training at the Institute of Prevention Research at Cornell University in New York. In 2003 he defended his doctoral thesis, which evaluated the effectiveness of a preventive program for alcohol and other substance abuse in adolescents, receiving the extraordinary doctoral award. His research interests have focused on the evaluation of drug abuse prevention programs and adolescent sexual risk behaviours. Since 2011, he has directed the University Clinic, a care transfer centre of the UMH that serves more than 200 families. He is director and founder of the Journal of Clinical Psychology with Children and Adolescents, a scientific journal dedicated to the research of psychological problems in childhood. A year later, she joined the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche as an associate professor, combining her teaching work with her professional work as a psychologist in the private sector. Since 2007 she has been fully dedicated to teaching and university research and has been working as a child therapist at the University\u2019s Centre for Applied Psychology. From 2008 to 2011 she was a visiting researcher at the University of Connecticut and the University of Southern California in the United States. She has been a University Professor in the area of Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatment since 2009. She receives the 2010 Young Researcher Award from the Social Council of the UMH, which recognizes her relevant career as a young researcher. Her research interests have focused on the evaluation and treatment of emotional problems in children and young people, especially anxiety disorders in childhood. In recognition of her teaching work, she has received on several occasions the Outstanding Teacher Award granted by the students of the degree in Psychology. At the research level, his interest is focused on the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder in the childhood-youth population and on the application of new technologies for the evaluation and intervention of adolescent problems. Within the framework of this last line of research, he is carrying out a training stay in 2010 at the Virje University in Amsterdam with Professor Cujpers. He teaches Psychological Evaluation in his degree in Psychology and teaches the Master in Psychological Therapy with children and adolescents, receiving the Outstanding Teacher Award in 2011. In her professional career, she moved to Mexico where she taught for several years in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the South in Cancun. After returning to Spain in 2017, she completed her Ph.D. in Psychology, with an Extraordinary Award, conducting studies on the design and implementation of an emotional intelligence program for children. She currently combines her work as a psychologist in the private field with teaching and research work as an Associate Professor in the Area of Evolutionary Psychology and Education of the Department of Health Psychology at the UMH and as an academic and professional tutor of undergraduate and graduate interns. She is also a professor in the Faculty of Education of the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) and in the Faculty of Humanities and Communication Sciences of the Cardenal Herrera University (CEU), as director of the Master\u2019s Degree Project and a member of the Tribunals for postgraduate studies. In line with previous lines of research, his doctoral thesis project aims to determine the extent to which socio-emotional skills described from the Covitality Model, modulate the emotional impact of psychosocial stressors on two-dimensional mental health and the suicide spectrum in adolescents. Licenciada en Psicolog\u00eda por la Universidad de Murcia, obtiene una beca de formaci\u00f3n de profesorado universitario del Ministerio de Educaci\u00f3n y Ciencia. Completa su formaci\u00f3n predoctoral en la Montclair State University de New Jersey y en la City University of New York.\u00a0<\/span>En el a\u00f1o 2003 defiende su tesis doctoral, que eval\u00faa la eficacia de un tratamiento para la fobia a la oscuridad en la infancia, recibiendo el premio extraordinario de doctorado. Un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s tarde se incorpora como profesora asociada a la Universidad Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez de Elche, compaginando su labor docente con su trabajo profesional como psic\u00f3loga en el \u00e1mbito privado. A partir de 2007 se dedica plenamente a la docencia e investigaci\u00f3n universitaria y comienza su colaboraci\u00f3n como terapeuta infantil en el Centro de Psicolog\u00eda Aplicada de la universidad. Durante los a\u00f1os 2008 a 2011 es investigadora invitada en la University of Connecticut y en la University of Southern California de Estados Unidos. Es Profesora Titular de Universidad en el \u00e1rea de Personalidad, Evaluaci\u00f3n y Tratamiento Psicol\u00f3gico desde el a\u00f1o 2009.\u00a0<\/span>Recibe el Premio Joven Investigador 2010 otorgado por el Consejo Social de la UMH, que reconoce su trayectoria relevante de los j\u00f3venes investigadores. Se licenci\u00f3 en psicolog\u00eda por la UNED, cursando posteriormente varios postgrados como el M\u00e1ster en Investigaci\u00f3n en Psicolog\u00eda, el M\u00e1ster en Metodolog\u00eda de las Ciencias Sociales y de la Salud y el M\u00e1ster en Psicopatolog\u00eda y Salud. En 2015 obtuvo una beca de formaci\u00f3n del profesorado, defendido su tesis doctoral en el a\u00f1o 2018, que vers\u00f3 sobre los procesos transdiagn\u00f3sticos asociados a los trastornos de ansiedad y depresivos. Obtuvo la calificaci\u00f3n de sobresaliente cum laude, recibiendo el premio extraordinario de doctorado por este trabajo. Psic\u00f3logo General Sanitario y experto en Psicolog\u00eda Forense acreditado por la SEPJF. Tras licenciarse en Psicolog\u00eda por la Universidad Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez con Premio Extraordinario de Licenciatura, completa su formaci\u00f3n con el M\u00e1ster Universitario en Psicolog\u00eda General Sanitaria, por el que recibe Premio Extraordinario. Desde el comienzo de sus estudios universitarios, su inter\u00e9s y actividad extracurricular se ha centrado en la poblaci\u00f3n infanto-juvenil tanto en la pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica como investigadora. En 2015 inicia su colaboraci\u00f3n en el Grupo AITANA y posteriormente es contratada para la coordinaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo del Proyecto Covitalidad (MINECO, Proyectos I+D+i 2017). Durante el transcurso de este proyecto le conceden una subvenci\u00f3n de car\u00e1cter predoctoral ACIF\/2019 desde la Conselleria de Educaci\u00f3n, Investigaci\u00f3n, Cultura y Deporte de la GVA. Full Professor<\/span><\/p>After studying Psychology at the University of Murcia, he worked for a few years as a clinical psychologist in the care of families affected by HIV. He continues his pre-doctoral training with research stays at the City University of New York, Montclair State University <\/span>and Stony Brook University. He joined the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche in 2002 after a period of training at the Institute of Prevention Research at Cornell University in New York. In 2003 he defended his doctoral thesis, which evaluated the effectiveness of a preventive program for alcohol and other substance abuse in adolescents, receiving the extraordinary doctoral award. His research interests have focused on the evaluation of drug abuse prevention programs and adolescent sexual risk behaviours. Since 2011, he has directed the University Clinic, a care transfer centre of the UMH that serves more than 200 families. He is director and founder of the Journal of Clinical Psychology with Children and Adolescents, a scientific journal dedicated to the research of psychological problems in childhood.
