Anne Marie Albano is a prominent figure at Columbia University&#8217;s Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CUCARD). The AITANA 2023 Award represents recognition of her trajectory in the field of child and adolescent psychology, given that Dr. Albano has made a significant impact on understanding and treating youth disorders. Her current focus is on expanding the reach and effectiveness of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through development-centered intervention models involving parents, particularly tailored for youth dealing with anxiety. Noted for her pioneering work, Dr. Albano is deeply engaged in creating and assessing virtual environments for teenagers and young adults facing anxiety and mood disorders. The Aitana 2022 Award is in recognition of her career in the field of child and adolescent psychology. Much of her research work has focused on studying the effects of peer victimization on adolescents, as well as the impact of disasters on the psychological and physical health of children and families. In addition, Dr. La Greca has published more than 300 articles and book chapters and has written 17 books. She is the author of such works as After the Storm: A Guide to Helping Children Cope with the Aftermath of Hurricanes and Helping Children and Families Cope with the COVID-19 Pandemic. The London artist, considered internationally as a renewer of classical music, has stood out for his firm activism and denunciation against sexual abuse in children. In recent years James Rhodes has contributed in a very remarkable way to make this problem and other problems related to children\u2019s mental health gain visibility. Ollendick, distinguished Professor at Virginia Tech University and Director of the Center for Child Study. He is one of the world\u2019s leading experts in child and youth mental health, focusing on a variety of psychological disorders, including behavioural, eating, emotional, and other disorders. His contributions to specific phobias and other childhood anxiety disorders are particularly noteworthy. Professor Ollendick has published more than thirty books and one hundred book chapters and more than 350 publications in high-impact international journals. At an applied level, Dr. Ollendick has contributed significantly to the development of innovative cognitive-behavioural interventions with excellent results in infantile-juvenile populations such as, among others, the One Session Treatment. He has been president of the ABCT and of the division 53 of Clinical Child Psychology of the APA. He is the founder and editor of Clinical Child and Family Psychology Review, among others. Professor Achenbach also heads the Research Center for Children, Youth and Families at the University of Vermont. Previously, he taught at Yale University and worked as a researcher at the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health. He was chair of the Task Force on Child Psychopathology of the American Psychological Association, and a member of the DSM III-R committee of the American Psychiatric Association. Among his most internationally recognized contributions is the Achenbach System of Empirical Evaluation (ASEBA), which is currently translated into more than 100 languages and has been cited in more than 10,000 publications. Kazdin\u2019s research has focused primarily on the treatment of aggressive and antisocial behaviour in children (both inpatient and outpatient). Dr Kazdin is the author of more than 750 publications, including 49 books on interventions for children and adolescents, cognitive-behavioural treatment, parenting training and parenting techniques, interpersonal violence, and research methodology and design. He has received several professional awards, including the Outstanding Contribution to Research Award with an individual award and awards for his professional career (Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies), Outstanding Contribution to Psychology and the Scientific Award for Applications of Psychology (American Psychological Association, APA), and the James McKeen Cattell Award (Association of Psychological Sciences). For the past 35 years, Dr Spence has been dedicated to the prevention and treatment of depression and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. One of her most outstanding contributions is the Spence Children\u2019s Anxiety Scale (SCAS), validated in 28 countries. She is the author of the Brave Programme, a pioneering intervention in the application of online therapy for the treatment of children\u2019s emotional problems. She has published extensively in these areas with wide international dissemination. She is a member of the Psychological Society of Australia, the British Society of Psychology and the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. In 2009 she received the Ian M. Campbell Memorial Award in Clinical Psychology. Professor Aurora Gavino graduated in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Valencia. After obtaining her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1982, she returned to Spain as a professor at the University of Malaga, where she founded the Psychology Service in 1987. Dr Gavino is one of the greatest experts in our country in the psychological treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, a problem she has been investigating since 1979. As a specialist in this area, she has authored manuals for psychologists and students, scientific works, research projects and books for the general public. She has also been president of the Spanish Society for the Advancement of Clinical Psychology and Health. In the field of academic management, she has been director of the Department of Psychology and the Clinical Psychology Classroom at the University of Malaga. In addition to directing postgraduate studies in Clinical and Health Psychology at the said University, she is a regular lecturer in clinical specialization postgraduate courses at several Spanish universities. He has contributed to hundreds of congresses and scientific meetings and has directed more than 20 doctoral theses. His contributions include the creation of psychological evaluation instruments, such as the Inventory of School Fears, the Questionnaire on Interpersonal Difficulties for Adolescents and the Questionnaire on Anxiety due to Child Separation, translated into several languages. La profesora Aurora Gavino se licenci\u00f3 en Filosof\u00eda y Letras por la Universidad de Valencia. Tras obtener el grado de doctora en Psicolog\u00eda Cl\u00ednica por la Universidad de la Sorbona de Par\u00eds en 1982, regres\u00f3 a Espa\u00f1a como profesora de la Universidad de M\u00e1laga, donde fund\u00f3 el Servicio de Psicolog\u00eda en 1987. La doctora Gavino es uno de los mayores expertos en nuestro pa\u00eds en el tratamiento psicol\u00f3gico del trastorno obsesivo-compulsivo, problema que lleva investigando desde el a\u00f1o 1979. Como especialista en esa \u00e1rea ha sido autora de manuales para psic\u00f3logos y estudiantes, trabajos cient\u00edficos, proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n y libros de divulgaci\u00f3n para el gran p\u00fablico. Adem\u00e1s, ha sido presidenta de la Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola para el Avance de la Psicolog\u00eda Cl\u00ednica y de la Salud. En el \u00e1mbito de la gesti\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica ha sido directora del Departamento de Psicolog\u00eda y del Aula de Psicolog\u00eda Cl\u00ednica de la Universidad de M\u00e1laga. El profesor M\u00e9ndez inici\u00f3 su carrera investigadora a principios de los a\u00f1os ochenta como profesor de tratamiento psicol\u00f3gico infantil en la Universidad de Murcia. Durante m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os ha sido adem\u00e1s docente del Centro Asociado en Elche de la UNED. Durante su extensa y productiva trayectoria profesional, el doctor M\u00e9ndez ha publicado m\u00e1s de 20 libros, ha sido editor de 12 manuales y autor de 140 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos sobre tratamiento psicol\u00f3gico infantil, entre los que se cuentan manuales b\u00e1sicos que han sido objeto de estudio en distintas universidades. Ha contribuido en cientos de congresos y reuniones cient\u00edficas y ha dirigido m\u00e1s de 20 tesis doctorales. Entre sus aportaciones destaca la creaci\u00f3n de instrumentos de evaluaci\u00f3n psicol\u00f3gica, como el Inventario de Miedos Escolares, El Cuestionario de Dificultades Interpersonales para Adolescentes o el Cuestionario de Ansiedad por Separaci\u00f3n Infantil, traducidos a varios idiomas. Es creador de la t\u00e9cnica de Escenificaciones Emotivas para el tratamiento de fobias infantiles, ampliamente empleada por terapeutas y que ha sido objeto de publicaciones internacionales. His contributions to specific phobias and other childhood anxiety disorders are particularly noteworthy. Professor Ollendick has published more than thirty books and one hundred book chapters and more than 350 publications in high-impact international journals. At an applied level, Dr. Ollendick has contributed significantly to the development of innovative cognitive-behavioural interventions with excellent results in infantile-juvenile populations such as, among others, the One Session Treatment. He has been president of the ABCT and of the division 53 of Clinical Child Psychology of the APA. He is the founder and editor of Clinical Child and Family Psychology Review, among others. He has received important awards such as: Career\/Lifetime Achievement Award from the ABCT, the Lifetime Achievement Award for Scientific Contributions from the Society of Clinical Psychology and the doctorate Honoris Causa from Stockholm University (Sweden).<\/p>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n<h4><span style=\"color: #d92026\">Thomas Achenbach\u00a0-\u00a02018<\/span><\/h4>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img class=\"wp-image-1042 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/aitanainvestigacion.zeus.umh.es\/files\/2018\/07\/140618Achenbach.jpg\" alt=\"Achenbach\" width=\"351\" height=\"333\" \/>Professor Thomas Achenbach, Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Vermont in the USA, has been distinguished with the Aitana Award 2018 in recognition of his international and multicultural trajectory in the field of child clinical psychology. Professor Achenbach also heads the Research Center for Children, Youth and Families at the University of Vermont. Previously, he taught at Yale University and worked as a researcher at the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health. He was chair of the Task Force on Child Psychopathology of the American Psychological Association, and a member of the DSM III-R committee of the American Psychiatric Association. Kazdin's research has focused primarily on the treatment of aggressive and antisocial behaviour in children (both inpatient and outpatient). Dr Kazdin is the author of more than 750 publications, including 49 books on interventions for children and adolescents, cognitive-behavioural treatment, parenting training and parenting techniques, interpersonal violence, and research methodology and design. He has received several professional awards, including the Outstanding Contribution to Research Award with an individual award and awards for his professional career (Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies), Outstanding Contribution to Psychology and the Scientific Award for Applications of Psychology (American Psychological Association, APA), and the James McKeen Cattell Award (Association of Psychological Sciences). For the past 35 years, Dr Spence has been dedicated to the prevention and treatment of depression and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. One of her most outstanding contributions is the Spence Children's Anxiety Scale (SCAS), validated in 28 countries. She is the author of the Brave Programme, a pioneering intervention in the application of online therapy for the treatment of children's emotional problems. She has published extensively in these areas with wide international dissemination. She is a member of the Psychological Society of Australia, the British Society of Psychology and the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. In 2009 she received the Ian M. Campbell Memorial Award in Clinical Psychology. Professor Aurora Gavino graduated in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Valencia. After obtaining her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1982, she returned to Spain as a professor at the University of Malaga, where she founded the Psychology Service in 1987. Dr Gavino is one of the greatest experts in our country in the psychological treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, a problem she has been investigating since 1979. As a specialist in this area, she has authored manuals for psychologists and students, scientific works, research projects and books for the general public. She has also been president of the Spanish Society for the Advancement of Clinical Psychology and Health. In the field of academic management, she has been director of the Department of Psychology and the Clinical Psychology Classroom at the University of Malaga. In addition to directing postgraduate studies in Clinical and Health Psychology at the said University, she is a regular lecturer in clinical specialization postgraduate courses at several Spanish universities.
